What's the difference between new, renewed, & repaired hybrid batteries?

New hybrid batteries are straight out of the factory (OEM). Renewed batteries are heavily refurbished with many new cells and replaced parts. For repaired batteries, we replace faulty cells and malfunctioning equipment — either repairing yours or installing an already-repaired pack.

How long can I expect a hybrid battery to last?

A new battery will likely last the remaining lifetime of the car. A renewed battery typically lasts at least its warranty period. A repaired battery lasts a minimum of its warranty period and, depending on the vehicle, can last up to two years.

Why do you sell three different types of batteries?

Hybrid owners have different goals — some want a quick & cheap fix, others want the car to last a long time. We offer all three options so you can choose.

What is your service area?

We service Greater Indiana plus neighboring areas including Bloomington, Champaign, Cincinnati, Dayton, Fort Wayne, and Louisville. Our shop is in Noblesville, IN near Indianapolis.

How does your warranty work?

If your battery fails within the warranty period, send us the diagnostic codes. Assuming the battery is the issue, we arrange replacement service. See /the-motorcells-warranty for details.

What is included in the price?

Listed prices include local installation at our Noblesville location. Mobile service is available for many makes/models for an additional travel fee. Shipping/handling of the battery is included.
